There's a promo right now that I was able to read all 9 chapters for free.

I'm not a huge fan of the dynamic between the two main characters. FL's slightly older and always thought of the ML as a little brother while the ML has feelings for FL. Now 10 years after being separated they're reuinted and she finds out their parents have married, making them step-siblings. FL is still clueless to ML's feelings but he seems to be trying to keep it under wraps for now.

Not a huge fan of the "siblings by marriage not blood"/"they technically weren't raised together" tropes. And because this is a regency Era type of story there's also a spoiled cousin in the mix who's in love with ML/jealous of FL.

Wouldn't have read so far into the story if it weren't free but I'm interest to see where one of the side plots is going.

This review contains spoilers. This was interesting to start but quickly turned into a possessive non con/dub con relationship with an unclear age gap (MC is only ever referenced as being under 17, no age mentioned for the love interests).

In the MC's previous life she was traumatized by a "relationship". Just about all the romantic interactions with the knight are forced upon her and continue regardless of her protests and she ends up having to just accept what's happening.

Only twice does the knight back off/feel bad during forced sexual interactions. I had to stop reading after they get to the part where MC tells the knight why she hates her lower body being touched, and in response the knight decides she needs "training" from him to not panic so badly and accept him touching her down there.

So this is cute to start but then plot events happen and it turns into a hostage/dub con/Stockholm syndrome kind of situation but not like in a super graphic way? There are dub con elements but it's definitely a cat and mouse game for where I currently am (ch 16) as the victim has turned the tables a couple times and is doing their best to not fully give in.

I've read up thru chapter 15 and was rooting for the romance in the beginning but now I'm conflicted and wish the crazy one could get hit on the head hard enough to see reason. Will probably keep reading unless something more extreme or more explicit happens.

This review contains spoilers. Had to stop at ch1 pg15 to look at reviews. Based on what the 5 star vs lower star reviews are saying, it's a bit worrying that this is actually a non-con story but being portrayed as ML being a tsundere

First issue - ch1 pg15 the FL has stated that the ML (her apprentice) is 12yo but that he's very charming and has a "seductive aura". The FL's age isn’t stated yet but she's 12yrs older

After reading to chapter 7 - respectfully I don't think ya'll know what tsundere is? The ML a child genius who's intimidating and does what he wants bc the FL felt bad about reprimanding him

The set up is that FL turns herself to stone for 20yrs to avoid being killed by a dragon while on mission. Her spell coincidentally only works on her body, not clothes or accessories. ML admits to touching her all over, licking her and smelling her as a statue along with polishing her daily

She was frozen in a kneeling praying positing so he's excited that he can finally get between her legs... she says no and he does it anyway by making her feel guilty for having left him alone for so long

She's definitely his captive and he has an unremoveable tracker attached to her. He pushed past her wishes and does what he wants to her. He's also beloved by his village so I doubt she'd have an easy time finding allies or escaping him

And because of the time freeze/skip he's now 32 to her 24 - an 8yr difference in the opposite direction means the gap isn't a problem anymore right? Nope, still gross

This review contains spoilers. I'm just starting chapter 15 and it's just ok so far but the romantic relationships haven't really moved forward at all.

After the initial intro of the potential love interest, the story seems to focus more on the characters as coworkers navigating office politics/culture and bonding over that than their potential romantic relationship.

There are some sections that are just like walls of text that keep reiterating the same thing over and over from previous chapters about the new "villain-employee-of-the-week" 's attitude or work ethic. I find myself skimming and skipping over some of these parts and it doesn't help that the font size is kinda small.
